- Eit kurs for deg som ynskjer å identifisera og visa fram din visuelle stil ved å skapa din eigen omfattande portefølje. Porteføljen er eit nødvendig verktøy for å koma inn på vidare kreative utdanningar på universitetsnivå. Porteføljen er også eit svært nyttig tillegg til jobbsøknader, så vel som ein god måte å presentera dine kreative evner på.

- Eit kurs for deg som er handverkar og som vil læra å teikna betre, eller for deg som vil utvikla evnene dine i retning av kunst og design.

- Eit kurs for deg som er ung og vaksen, som er i ferd med å falla ut av samfunnet, og som treng å finna ut kven du er og kva du vil.

På FOKUSKURSET lærer du å sjå betre. Ein effektiv måte gjera dette på er gjennom teikneøvingar. Me brukar teikning til å observera, utforska og eksperimentera. Teikneøvingar blir kombinert med skriving, foto, trykk, collage og arbeid i 3D.

FOKUSKURSET høver for eit vidt spektrum av kreative interesser, ambisjonar og mål.

FOKUSKURSET bryt ned barrierar og legg til rette for at opptil seks elevar kan arbeida saman. Gjennom samarbeid lærer de frå kvarandre, samstundes som kvar og ein utviklar sin eigen, individuelle kreativitet. Denne prosessen blir fylgd nøye av lærar, spesielt under teikneleksjonane.

Arbeida dykkar blir diskuterte, undersøkte og bygde vidare på. Vurdering av lærar, både ein til ein og i grupper, vil utvida perspektivet ditt og byggja sjølvkjensle. Du lærer å sjå skilnaden på det autentiske og det uekte. Dette vil i sin tur gje deg eit grunnlag for å ta betre val.

Til slutt samlar du dei beste arbeida dine , både digitale og fysiske, i  porteføljar. Porteføljen skal presentera deg, din stil, dine evner og interesser i det visuelle formatet som høver deg best.

FOKUSKURSET sitt mål er å hjelpa deg til å bli meir sjølvsikker, meir sjølvbevisst og meir fokusert i din kreativitet.

Work in 2D - drawing, sketching, painting, collage etc.

Part of the Focus course uses drawing to record, explore, and experiment. This is combined with collage, printing and photography. Students will learn a variety of techniques, materials and processes, and will achieve a working understanding of each . This will enable students to continue their own personal projects.

Work in 3 D - sculptural exercises and model making

Concept and research - planning, illustrating, editing

There will be guided research projects for both group and private work. The ability to develop and present a visual concept clearly and effectively is vital to all creative disciplines. The students will learn how to present new ideas and build a personal archive.

Presentation - portfolio construction and identifying the next step forward

Students will practice presenting their work and ideas in both group and individual situations. This part of the process is an important part of the whole working process. Much of the last month of the course will be devoted to editing, and organising the students work into a ‘ portfolio’ of whatever size , format or media is most suitable.

ACCOMMODATION

The price for accommodation 3,500 NOK a month. Sudents will have their own bedroom, and will be sharing bathroom, kitchen and living room. Bed linen is included.

The rent will be reduced to 3,000 NOK a month if students wash their own bed linen. If somebody wants to live alone, we will try to organise it. Electricity and access to a laundry machine is included. Students will make their own food.

The student accommodation will be at Hatlestrand with short walking distance to the school, public transport like bus and ferry, supermarket and health center. It is also a very short distance from sports hall and swimming pool. Hatlestrand is well placed with spectacular views and direct access to the mountains and the sea.

COURSE

The price for the Focus Course: 35,000 NOK, 10,000 NOK as deposit to be paid on acceptance. The deposit is non-refundable. The remaining 25,000 NOK is to be paid by the start of the course.

Material and printing costs are not included.
